Sunset on Lake Martin

Lake Martin Area

One of the true gems in North America, this 44,000 acre lake offers close to 900 miles of shoreline and endless opportunities to explore.   We’re kinda famous so make sure you check out all of the fantastic sites on the lake like Peanut Point (buy boiled peanuts and souvenirs right from your boat), watch the daredevils jump from Chimney Rock (if you’re afraid of heights even watching these folks take the plunge can be wild). Wind Creek State Park is accessible by water or land and there are hiking trails, a zipline, beach and picnic areas. It’s one of the largest State Park Campgrounds in the Country. You can rent a pontoon boat, go on a bass fishing charter, water ski, float, visit several fantastic bars and restaurants by boat and maybe even sample a Bushwacker or two…  Hiking is a favorite activity of many who come to the lake. The Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail Association manages and maintains miles and miles of incredible trails. Russell Lands and Russel Crossroads also provide close to 60 miles of trails. Oh and we are blessed with some fantastic dining choices too numerous to mention but we have provided links below to help make your plans before arriving.  We are located just on the outskirts of Dadeville town center and they have grocery stores, shopping, galleries etc.  Alexander City (we locals call it Alex City) sits near the top of the lake and is also a shopping hub and has a lovely historic downtown. Check out the calendar of events & the links below so you won’t miss a thing! We also are here to help and love to make some recommendations. Just ask.

Auburn/Opelika Alabama

Our neighbors to the east are Auburn, home of Auburn University and on Saturdays in the fall you’ll find us in front of a TV, at a tailgate party or at Jordan-Hare Stadium cheering on our beloved Auburn Tigers.  Our Basketball team is pretty special too. Don’t miss Toomers Corner and when we win we Roll the Oaks.  One of the most memorable college traditions.  War Eagle!!

Opelika has a not to miss Historic Downtown with distilleries, shopping and many dining options. The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail winds its way through Auburn & Opelika so bring your clubs. Click the link for more info.
