4 Unique Glamping Choices

Rhonda and I had long dreamed of running a B&B or maybe an old Inn somewhere. Once I retired and we got serious about finding our dream location to spend the rest of our lives sharing with the rest of the world, we just weren't clicking with any of the many properties we spent so many weekends driving to and tromping around on for hours and hours. Strangely enough, we ended up far away from Nashville and we are so glad we did! The Destination Resort is a beautiful piece of God's green earth and so deserves the attention we have been giving it. Once we found our dream location we knew it had to be complimented with an equally different and edgy lodging experience. We believe that glamping will become one of the premier vacation experiences in the world in the near future. and we are excited to be a part of it. There are many, varied types of dwellings and locations that are being labeled glamping and we wanted to make sure that the most important part of this experience was not forgotten....they have to be GLAMOROUS to be glamps! We can't wait to share our themed safari tents with everyone who wants to enjoy the great outdoors without missing out on a luxury lodging experience. Check out each of our glamps below and don;t worry if you can't decide on which one to stay in, you can always come back!!

Moondance

This Glamp Cabin style tent is named for our beloved 46' motor yacht "Moondance" that we enjoyed many weekends on, inspired by the Van Morrison hit of the same name from the 70's. The moment you pull up you begin to feel nautical and that theme carries across the deck and right into the 370 sq ft interior of this charming one bedroom, one bath glamp equipped with Heat & Air, fridge, microwave, grill, and hot tub! All of the walls are covered in oak and poplar rough cut boards from trees that grew and were milled right here on the property.  The only thing missing is the mermaid, or is she?

Music Loft

This Shaka style Safari tent was inspired by the loft we renovated in an 1899 building in downtown Nashville. It was our home, studio, live music venue, and eventually one of the top vacation rental spaces in Music City. It became The Music Loft and is still in operation today after we sold it and moved to Alabama on our new journey. The glamp is decorated with painted and signed guitars, Nashville themed art and other signed memorabilia. With a full two bedrooms and massive tile shower this 650 sq ft glamp is complimented with over 1300 sq ft of decking including an amazing outdoor living space, both covered and uncovered featuring a grill and 7x7 hot tub. The interior is edgy and modern with dining for up to 6 people, comfy seating, and a beautiful kitchenette area with fridge and micro-wave. The only thing missing is a 10' tall Gibson Guitar designed by Montgomery Gentry, or is it?

Rhondaposa

Facing East, this Glamp Cabin style tent holds a special place in our hearts and we have spent many nights and watched many sunrises in it while the rest of the resort was under construction. Our love for horses inspired this western ranch themed hideaway and you will want to keep your boots on for your entire stay! Also 370 sq ft, this charming one bedroom, one bath glamp is equipped with Heat & Air, fridge, microwave & coffee maker in the kitchenette, AND gas grill and hot tub on the 240 sq ft flagstone patio! The only thing missing is the barb wire fence, or is it?

Clearwater

This Shaka style Safari tent pays homage to both our roots. Growing up in Clearwater and St. Pete the Gulf and its beaches were a huge part of our lives. The glamp is a throwback to a shabby chic beach cottage filled with eclectic decorations, Florida style furnishings, and beachy art. With a queen bed in each of the bedrooms and a queen sofa sleeper you are ready to put your toes in the sand and sip on something cool and refreshing. The walk in shower is enormous, as is the entire bathroom. Cool in the summer and toasty in the winter this 650 sq ft glamp is also complimented with over 1300 sq ft of decking featuring an amazing outdoor living space, both covered and uncovered with a grill and 7x7 hot tub. The only thing missing is a couple of palm trees, or are they?
